It looks like details on the 2014 Mustang have been leaking out slowly over the last week. The big noticeable change is that the Boss 302 and Boss 302 Laguna Seca are missing from the lineup. It appears the Boss 302 was truly a limited run for only a couple of years. I’m glad Ford stuck to their guns on this and kept the Boss a limited production car.
Some other notable changes include the addition of some new colors – Oxford White is replacing Performance White and Ruby Red is replacing Red Candy. Also there are new “Appearance Package” options available for both the GT and v6 models. The only noticeable change to the Shelby GT500 model is the change from Gloss Black stripes to Matte Black stripes.
In many ways I was expecting at least one major new addition to send off the S197 platform in style; however, I must say that I am very excited about the Oxford White color – it has always been a dream of mine to own a 03-04 Cobra in Oxford White. Now all we have to do is wait for the official release of the 2015 Mustang!
