Ashton is in the process of doing some restoration on his silver 2000 SVT Lightning, build # 3872. When he bought the Lightning, it already had ACC black carpet to go with the black seat upholstery. To further dress up the interior, Ashton elected to add a set of Lloyd Lightning SVT floor mats. I will walk you through the simple install to show you what a difference the Lightning Floor Mats made in Ashton’s Lightning. Also, I will be releasing a lot of write-ups on Ashton’s progress over the next few weeks. He is planning to rebuild his front suspension and brakes and will lower the truck with Ford Racing 1” lowering kit. He also plans on adding a little bit more power with a JLT cold air intake, 4 psi lower pulley and BBR tune. To support the extra power in the Texas summer heat, he is adding a Fluidyne heat exchanger. To finish off the restoration, he is going to replace his headlights and fog lights.
- Open up your doors and take a look at what you got. You will want to throw out your old mats (unless you are like Ashton and you don’t have any mats) but it is a good idea to save them for a rainy day.
- You should vacuum out your truck before you slap the new mats in.
- Un-box your Lightning Floor Mats. Ashton went with the popular black “SVT F-150” mats. They complement the black Lightning seat upholstery and the black carpet perfectly.
- Throw’em in!!
- You’re finished! Enjoy your new floor mats!
